Hundreds of people descended on Swansea on Good Friday for the first day of an exceptional gastronomic weekend in the city. The Swansea Street Food Festival returns this Easter weekend with over 30 stalls serving delicious food, snacks and delicacies from around the world.
The festival grounds, adjacent to the Boer War Memorial on Mumbles Road, offer a mix of Welsh, British, Italian, Moroccan, Jamaican, American, Uzbek and Sri Lankan cuisine, to name a few, plus a bar serving alcohol and comfortable drinks. beverages. There is also entertainment every night. On Friday there will be comedians, on Saturday concerts and on Sunday silent disco.
Menus and costs differ from stall to stall, however, when we visited on Friday we found that many stalls were offering vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free food, with several stalls touting good-sized snacks and treats for less than £5. food, expect to pay between £10 and £15.
There are two queues at the front of the venue: one for complex-priced ticket holders and one for walk-ins. You can also book a table in advance.
