NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Mayor B of Blasio swears that New Yorkers will not be hungry.
On Tuesday, the city announced that 400 takeaway restaurants would remain open during the week during the summer.
“They are open to anyone from 7:30 to 1:30, and you can take meals for your kids, you can take meals for your parents, but everyone is welcome,” food czar Kathryn Garcia said.
De Blasio says it has distributed 70 million food since March.
There is kosher, halal and vegetarian food for everyone, no questions asked.
The mayor says that, as an added benefit, self-made pizza kits are also available.
