Oakland-based developer oWow has increased the length of the solid wood tower it plans to build at 1523 Harrison Street, next to a 19-story solid wood structure built through oWow in downtown Oakland last year.
The allocation will now have 28 floors comprising 496 units, compared to the original plan for a 20-story double building in the neighboring building, the San Francisco Business Times reported.
If the new plan goes through, the oWow Tower will be the tallest solid wood construction in the United States.
