“Therefore, entering a room of three hundred other Americans opposes the provision for me. I’m personally comfortable. I don’t know why anyone can be comfortable.”
“Three hundred other Americans for 17 days I think it’s an absolute threat. For entertainment purposes, it is disproportionate. I don’t think it’s a wonderful threat at all.”
Referring to this week’s races at Goodwood and last week’s cricket at The Oval, which are the events of the other drivers, he added: “I sense them. They are outdoors and unique. But 17 days with three hundred other Americans: what are the chances that someone won’t?

“It probably wouldn’t be like that for the Crucible, which is a shame, we’re going to fly through the seat of our pants.”
“In my opinion, it’s too early for indoor sports. The World Health Organization (WHO) told us it’s probably a maximum of 20 times even more to catch indoors than outdoors. [But] there’s never a big apple consultation with the players.”
The World Snooker Tour responded in a statement: “The fact that Betfred World Championsend is designated as the first indoor sporting occasion to be celebrated with a crowd in the UK is a triumph not only for the World Snooker Tour, but for all of our partners.
