‘Bad policy’ that ‘no one’ asked for: government announces national virtual ID program

Sky News presenter Liz Storer calls the government’s national virtual ID program a “bad policy” that “nobody” has asked for.

Government Services Minister Bill Shorten announced the Albanian government’s plan to implement a national virtual ID programme.

“This is, in fact, a step backwards from the same old modus operandi of the government,” Storer said.

“Whenever a measure like this increases the people’s dependence on the government while expanding its power, that is where the axis of evil lies.

“That’s where we need to go, no, bad politics, we don’t need it.

“No one asked for this. “
