Benjamin Netanyahu praises Trump’s “remarkable idea” on U. S. takeover of GazaU. S.

President Donald Trump said in a press convention at the White House that the United States “will take control” of the Gaza Strip, indicates it and rebuild it. He also advised to relocate the Palestinians in neighboring countries, while the reconstruction is underway, that two allies of the American Middle East rejected.

Gaza in the middle of Trump’s plan to rebuild the enclave

“The actual idea of allowing for its Gazans who want to leave, to leave. I mean, what’s wrong with that?” Netanyahu asked. “They can leave. They can then come back. They can relocate and come back, but you have to rebuild Gaza. If you want to rebuild Gaza, you can’t have — this is the first good idea that I’ve heard.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Newhounds on Wednesday that Palestinians would be relocated “temporarily” because the enclave is a “demolition site. ” 

“There’s no running water. There is no electricity. The president wants these individuals to live in peace,” Leavitt said from the briefing room podium.

Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy to the Middle East, estimated that the Gaza Strip will be “uninhabitable” for at least 10 to 15 years as the reconstruction process takes shape.

Netanyahu told Fox News presenter, Sean Hannity, that Israel was still determined to destroy the army and govern Hamas’ capabilities so that he can never constitute a risk to the Jewish state again.  

Hamas militants introduced a fatal attack in 2023 in southern Israel, killing another 1,200 people and taking more than 250 hostages, according to the estimates of the Israeli authorities.

A fragile high -fire agreement between Israel and the militant is being carried out as the hostages continue to be released after spending more than a year in captivity.

“So far, we have decimated the maximum strength of the Hamas army, all of them. There still is, and we will make sure that he is there at the end of this war, and this can end very quickly,” Netanyahu told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

He added that Trump’s return to the White House affected the entire Middle East and took note of the minds of the Jewish people.
