Calgary Woman Indexed Dead at Alberta Fitness Center Not an Easy Answer

A Calgary woman is getting the answer after being listed as “deceased” for months on Alberta fitness data site Netcare.

Irene Jaime, a busy mother of five, told Global News that it all happened in May when her spouse won a phone call from his doctor’s office.

“The first question he asked Array was ‘Are you okay with your wife?'” he said. “Then my husband said, ‘Why? What happened?’

According to Jaime, what happened was that his doctor tried to submit a request for services, but was denied.

“He (says) that this is over. . . When they checked Netcare, they saw that I had died,” he said.

Jaime asked her pharmacist to check the medication for her, and he told her that Irene Jaime died on March 24, 2024, two days before her 44th birthday.

“So I didn’t even know I wasn’t celebrating my birthday,” she said with a laugh.

Jaime said at first that it was funny, but after calling Netcare several times and getting few answers, he didn’t laugh anymore. He told Netcare his next call would be for the media and said he won a call Monday afternoon.

“I got a call from a (Netcare) member who was like, ‘Congratulations! You’re alive again! »

Jaime said he told her everything would recover, but added that no one can tell her what it was like in the first place.

“I want to know who has accessed my file. It is my right,” he stressed. I want to know who accessed my file.

“Who made me die?”

Global News has reached out to Alberta’s Minister of Health for answers. Alberta Health told us it is “investigating this matter. “

“We need to make sure that Netcare is a safe and easy-to-use service that meets the desires of all Albertans,” he said.

Jaime is pleased that her account has been restored, adding that she is afraid to access fitness services, as well as emergency services, with the previous designation of “deceased. “

He said he didn’t know if he could get it or if he would have to pay for it.
