Churchill Retirement Living has acquired 2. 2 acres in Nottingham’s Manor Park residential district, paving the way for further development.

The company also received consent to make plans from Rushcliffe City Council for 43 retirement apartments on site.

Pete Oakley, Regional Director of Land and Development at Churchill Retirement Living, said: “The new progression will provide attractive, high-quality, safe and independent housing in landscaped gardens.

“As with all Churchill Retirement Living developments, apartment owners will have independent living and a sense of community, with the benefits of a non-unusual owner’s room, guest suite, accommodation manager and 24-hour emergency call alarm service.

David Hargreaves of FHP Property Consultants, who acted for the local charity that owned the land, added: “This is a beautiful in the middle of Manor Park, Ruddington, with the right amenities nearby.

“With many mature trees in the park, the assignment agreed to include 43 apartments in an established and coveted location and will be an astonishing progression once completed.

Isobel Radford and Louise Mee of Freeths performed for the charity in collaboration with FHP in connection with the sale, with Shoosmiths for Churchill.
