COVID positivity in the fall of New York, new vaccination sites continue to be opened

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced coVID’s positivity of a lower day in New York City since November 23.

As vaccines increase, with the distance of busy holidays, New York State COVID numbers decrease.

The state-round positivity rate was reduced to 3. 06% and the positivity rate for New York State decreased for consecutive days.

COVID VACCINE

A line snaked around the block at a new short-lived immunization center at Harvest Fields Community Church on East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx, one of thirteen vaccination sites the state opens this week for the purpose of being shot in the arms during seven days of 3,800 people.

“I brought at least one book, ” said one woman who was queuing.

“Now we expect them to still have enough vaccines,” one man said.

Across the country, nearly 42 million more people have won at least one dose of vaccine.

CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

But one drawback during the week has been the weather: strong storms interrupted shipments and canceled appointments.

Authorities say all 50 states have been affected, with 6 million doses overdue due to conditions.

People continue to fight for vaccination, and “where to get vaccinated” is the most sought-after term in the United States in the last month.
