Cryptocurrency Executives to Appear on House Financial Services Committee

The House Financial Services Committee announced that senior executives from 8 primary cryptocurrency corporations will appear before the House panel on Dec. 8 when lawmakers seek tactics for the virtual currency, Reuters reported on Wednesday.

The House committee said the hearing will deal with “the demanding situations and benefits of monetary innovation. “

Some of the leaders who will testify to decision makers are Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle; Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX Trading; Paxos CEO Chad Cascarilla; Denelle Dixon, executive director of the Stellar Development Foundation; Brian Brooks, CEO of Bitfury; and Alesia Haas, Chief Financial Officer of Coinbase Global.

On Jan. 27, the Potomac Officers Club will bring together combined leaders from the government and the GovCon network to discuss their perspectives on the effects of virtual currency on national security and the economy.
