Donald Trump Tries to Sell Bibles

Donald Trump is promoting a new edition of a Bible through Grammy-winning country singer-songwriter Lee Greenwood.

In a three-minute, 15-second message posted Tuesday on his Truth Social account for Holy Week, the former president and presumptive Republican nominee for 2024 wrote “Let’s make America pray again” and accompanied his message with a video promoting a “God bless America. “Bible,” which costs $59. 99.

“It’s very, very important to me,” Trump says in the video. “I need a lot of other people to have it. You must have it for your heart, for your soul. Many of you have never read them and don’t know what freedoms and rights you have as Americans, or what they’re like. Be threatened with the loss of those rights.

“It happens all the time,” he continued. This is a very sad thing that happens in our country, but we are going to solve it. Religion and Christianity are the biggest things our country is missing. “

According to a Bible promotion, the product includes a handwritten refrain about “God Bless the U. S. “U. S. ” Greenwood’s Constitution, the U. S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Oath of Allegiance. The only provision is the King James Bible edition, with no other edition available.

The website, which features photographs of Greenwood with Donald Trump Jr. , former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and others holding the book, says, “This is President Trump’s approved Bible!

It also says that this Bible “is political and has nothing to do with any political campaign,” nor is it owned, managed, or controlled through Trump, the Trump Organization, CIC Ventures LLC, or their respective officers or subsidiaries.

“GodBlessTheUSABible. com uses the name, symbol, and symbol of Donald J. Trump under a paid license from CIC Ventures LLC, whose license could conceivably be canceled or revoked under its terms,” according to the site.

Newsweek reached out to Greenwood’s email for comment.

“The last time Americans saw Donald Trump holding a Bible for a photo shoot after firing tear gas at U. S. citizens protesting white supremacy,” Biden-Harris 2024 chief press secretary Sarafina Chitika told Newsweek. he had trouble getting out of Mar-a-Lago to meet with genuine voters, but found time to sell contraband sneakers, sell reasonable perfumes, and advertise his “new” product to line his pockets.

“He’s a dashing Donald Trump, a con man who has spent his life ripping off other people and his presidency ruining the middle class and cutting taxes for his friends. “

Trump and Greenwood’s promotional social media post comes a day after Trump compared his legal situation to the persecution of Jesus Christ. As part of his civil fraud case in New York State, in which his $464 million bail was initially owed. For $175 million, Trump shared a Bible verse, Psalm 109:3-8, on his Truth Social account. It was sent to him through an anonymous person.

Trump wrote: “Received this morning – Magnificent, thank you!”It is ironic that Christ went through His greatest persecution in the same week that they sought to borrow His possessions. But have you noticed this verse. . . ?'” he wrote.

The messages and video were ridiculed by some of Trump’s critics.

“Trump, an unrepentant con man, is in dire need of cash because he is promoting a Bible that says ‘God bless America,'” the X Project Lincoln account wrote. “How much money do you think Trump gets from the sale?”

“A day after comparing himself to Jesus Christ, Trump is now promoting a ‘Trump-approved’ Bible for $60,” anti-Trump Republicans posted. “The scammer is going to scam. “

Ben Howe, an X user, responded by quoting a passage from the Bible, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, which says, “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And it’s not surprising, because even Satan disguises himself as an apostle of Christ, an angel of light. No wonder, then, that his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Its purpose will be adapted to your works.

Trump made the impression Monday at a New York court hearing on the criminal case accusing him of paying cash to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, whom he accused of having an affair, shortly before the 2016 election. Trump has denied the affair and allegations that he paid her $130,000 to silence her ahead of that year’s presidential vote.
