Dr. Antho Fauci to launch first pitch for the Nationals-Yankees’ first game

Dr. Anthobig Apple Fauci, the expert American infectious disease and arguably the most prominent figure in COVID-1 news, will sign up for World Series champions on the mound in Thursday’s first game.

The Washington Nationals invited Dr. Fauci to launch the first ceremonial release on opening day at Nationals Park in opposition to the New York Yankees.

“Dr. Fauci has been a true champion for our counterattack during the COVID-1 pandemic and his outstanding career,” says a statement from the team, “so it’s appropriate that we honor him at the start of the 2020 season and keep our World Series Championship” Title.”

From Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Fauci grew up as a Yankees fan, but says he has roots for anyone since he moved to the D.C. area. He wore a nat-themed face mask to testify before a House committee with other members of the Coronavirus Working Group.

Fauci, 79, has been Director of the National Institute of Allergic and Infectious Diseases since 1984

Thursday’s first game will begin the 60-game MLB season.
