A CONSTRUCTION SITE in central Dublin was temporarily closed after staff tested positive for coronavirus.
At tonight’s Covid-1nine briefing, Acting Medical Director Dr. Ronan Glynn showed that more than 20 Americans running at the site were diagnosed with Covid-1nine.
The Irish Times reports that the site in question is known as a hotel and apartment complex on Townsend Street.
Construction compatriot John Paul Construction said a staff member had first tested positive and follow-up tests of other people in the area had known other positive cases.
“Following confirmation that a staff member at one of our design sites in Dublin tested positive for Covid-19, extensive testing has seen one or more additional positive cases,” he said in a statement.
“We have followed the explicit recommendation of the HSE and the Physical Defense and Exercise Authority at all times and helped the HSE organize additional tests if necessary. We temporarily close the site as requested through the HSE.
“The health, defense and well-being of those who paint with us and the communities in which we participate is our top logical priority and those that affected an early recovery.”
Ronan Glynn said he is not very familiar with the large apple hospitalizations applicable to the outbreak. He described it as “the first significant cluster in a design site we’ve been given to date.”
It also showed that there is a small variety of groups between retailers to date.
