Elon Musk, the CEO of billionaire Tech, which has President Donald Trump’s councilman, brazenly challenged a new synthetic intelligence initiative after the president announced.
Musk said on Tuesday that the new AI initiative, called Stargate, did not have the mandatory investment to achieve its objective of making an investment of $ 500 billion in the structure of AI infrastructure in the United States in the next 4 years.
“They don’t have the money,” Musk said in reaction to the announcement in X.
Musk’s rapid reprimand was remarkable given his presence in Trump’s world. Musk was a vocal taxpayer of the president and announced his presence the inauguration of Trump.
The initiative is a collaboration between Openai, an AI company that Musk co-founded before a crash with Sam Altman, SoftBank and Oracle.
In their announcement, the companies said they would immediately deploy $100 billion toward the initiative. They hope to build data centers across the U.S. – warehouses filled with powerful servers that provide computing power to develop and advance AI.
But hours after the announcement, Musk threw cold water on it, claiming he had “on good authority” that SoftBank “has well under $10B secured.”
To advance at his point, on Wednesday, he on a tweet who mocks the announcement of the $ 500 billion initiative with an emoji crying.
Musk has one of Trump’s closest advisors during the year beyond the year. He had the task of supervising the decomposition of government efficiency, the advisory council responsible for reducing federal expenditure and was a component of the Trump transition process.
The split is particularly eye-catching given Trump has a long history of valuing loyalty among his team. There are hardly any members of Trump’s first administration who have been brought back for his second term because of prior conflicts.
Musk has a public dispute with Altman, his former colleague and CEO of Operai.
The two once sought to “save humanity” from AI’s risks through OpenAi. A dispute on the control of the struggle of the corporate and internal force led to collapse. Musk even though everything that left the company in 2018 has begun its initiative of AI.
Musk has brought prosecution opposed to Openai and Altman and used his platform on X to make a laugh of the corporate and the CEO.
Altman responded to Musk’s accusation in X and supported those of $ 500 billion.
“Wrong, as you surely know,” Altman wrote. “this is great for the country. i realize what is great for the country isn’t always what’s optimal for your companies, but in your new role I hope you’ll mostly put [America] first.”
Altman invited Musk to the stop at the first knowledge site, which he claimed was in progress. Operai has been running on the so-called Stargate for months and has funded the government extended to its goal of advancing AI in the United States
Altman added: “I respect his achievements and I think he is the most inspiring businessman of our time. “
