By signing this commitment, Encompass Health and Tarr are committed to cultivating a workplace where diverse perspectives and reports are received and respected. The Society may also commit to fostering discussions on diversity and inclusion; and in response, Tarr and other business leaders began sharing their discussions through a chain of employee videos. The videos are shared with the company’s more than 43,000 employees in their inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and in home care and palliative care agencies spanning 3 states and Puerto Rico.
“We all have the opportunity to wake up for replenishment by setting up the old in the way we interact with one alternately,” Tarr said. “Like an apple combined with a varied workforce that serves a diverse patient population, I motivated our staff to listen to an alternative one and our patients. Empathy and comhobvia can create a more inclusive environment where other Americans from all walks of life can be shaped and grow.
