Homes England is working on plans to build almost 700 apartments on land around the proposed High Speed 2 station in Birmingham.
The company wants to expand five buildings up to 1 floor on New Bond Street in the city’s Bordesley district.
Homes England has presented an environmental influence assessment framework made to Birmingham City Council for the project, which will also include public and non-public advertising spaces and facilities.
Earlier this year, Birmingham City Council gave the go-ahead to close a deal that would allow it to buy the former Site of the City of Birmingham City University in Perry Barr of Homes England to deliver the Athletes’ Village for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The agreement also provided for Homes England’s acquisition of the New Bond Street authority in Digbeth.
