Big social media has faced greater presbound to take a more defiant stance in opposition to the president’s hateful rhetoric.
Facebok received classified publications and advertisements from Donald Trump’s re-election crusade that included a symbol used through the Nazis to violate it further because of his “politics opposed to organized hatred.”
Thursday’s dismantling came amid the presence of civil rights leaders, Democratic politicians and the company’s own staff in a more challenging stance in the face of the president’s ugly, violent and hateful rhetoric on the platform, even if it’s not the first time. that Facebok received classified warnings from Trump’s crusade for policy violations.
The now-removed ads included an image of an inverted red triangle with a black border and the message: “Dangerous MOBS of the far-left group station run through our streets and absolute chaos. THEY ARE IN THE city and the riots – it’s an absolute madness … Upload your call IMMEDIATELY to keep your president and your decision to claim directly from the terrorist organization ANTIFA.”
Trump and his crusade have continually made false claims about “antifa,” a term that refers to loose networks of left-wing activists opposed to fascism and white nationalism. It does not seem to be much evidence that anti-fa organizations were concerned about riots over recent protests opposed to the alleged murder of George Floyd through the police.
The inverted red triangle was used through the Nazis to detect political prisoners at the Holocaust concentration station.
Bend the Arc, a progressive Jewish activist organization, turned closely to the ranked ads on Twitter on Wednesday, writing, “The president of the United States is campaigning for re-election, a symbol of the Nazi concentration camp… Trump and the RNC use it to taint millions of protesters. They take off their mask.”
