Henderson, Tennessee-Basketball Systems of Freed-Hardeman University has achieved a purpose this season.
FHU and Brewer Sports Center were selected as one of the host sites during the first and circular moment of the National Basketball Tournament. Of course, last year, they welcomed the first and the circular. This is where the male team won a national championship.
We talk to coach Drew Stutts of winning so many consecutive games.
“Obviously, it was just an incredible experience. Incredibly complicated intellectual and physically complicated. We were lucky to have a deep team. Then we have played ten boys. I think he is helping us on the way. But the intellectual challenge is there, the physical challenge is there and it was wonderful to end up last year, “Drew said.
Not only the male team decided from the hosts during the first and moment, but also of the women’s team. It is your first accommodation.
We tended to talk to coach Abby Stutts of what it means to them.
“It is a merit power, as you said, sleeping in your own bed, being able to have your merit in the countryside, your own fans. Our families travel very well, but what merit is to be able to have even more from the university, all in the community and be able to be here in your field, it’s great,” said Abby.
With the depraved and the women’s organization this year, now there are six that will spend here to Henderson to play next weekend. This doubles the workload of recent years.
We talk to sports director Jonathan Estes, which will handle this.
“You are organizing two tournaments. So now we have twice as anything. In training, costume area, you know that everything will challenge. We have a correct installation here that can accommodate all those equipment. We have a giant network that will be hosted to all. But, in fact, new demanding situations because you have two other tournaments instead of one,” Estes said.
If he has not seen it yet, coach Drew Stutts and coach Abby Stutts have the same circle of relatives’ names. It is because they are brother and sister. You have two giant coaches, of the same giant circle of relatives, causing two giant teams, at the same Giant Local University.
The groups will be informed who will organize later on Thursday night. The first and time cycles of male and female tournaments will be on March 14 and 15.
