A Bay Area home improvement warehouse and showroom will move to Burlington’s former storefront in Rohnert Park, to the company’s website.
Planning documents filed with the city show that Granite Expo, an Emeryville-based home improvement company, plans to take over the retailer’s interior next year.
The company approved moving to the area through the planning commission and obtained a building permit in July to install external siding.
The online page lists a Rohnert Park location at the former Burlington site as “coming soon,” but corporate representatives may not be reachable at the time of publication.
Granite Expo has been serving the Bay Area since the late 1990s with locations in the region, primarily in the East Bay, although the company recently opened a ninth location in Fairfield. Rohnert Park will be the company’s tenth location.
The company specializes in cabinets, countertops, kitchens and flooring.
Burlington previously occupied the storefront at 311 Rohnert Park Expressway until it closed earlier this year. There is still another location in Burlington on Santa Rosa Avenue.
