The proposal encompasses 130 acres along a giant stretch of Interstate 10 on both sides of Litchfield Road, on city-owned land.
It is planned to have 15 multi-purpose soccer and turf fields, 48 pickleball courts, walking trails, parking, restrooms, maintenance facilities and water storage. Goodyear would also possibly have other recreational uses for the site.
