GRAND Mental Health on Monday unveiled a new pilot program that will take you to rural Oklahoma.
The pilot program is called “GRAND Care-A-Van Mobile Mental Health Access,” and leaders say it’s about bringing their mental health to often-forgotten communities.
GRAND Mental Health is a qualified behavioral fitness and intellectual fitness and addictions network firm serving thirteen counties in Oklahoma.
GRAND’s Amy Garrison says many other people would possibly want their facilities but don’t know they exist or can’t access them due to restrictions.
He says that for citizens who go to the nearest GRAND clinic, the firm facilitates the registration process.
The GRAND Care-A-Van will stop at another location every day, offer free snacks, and teach others about the benefits to which they are entitled.
These include one-on-one counseling, family therapy, housing assistance, homework assignment assistance, legal assistance, Medicaid enrollment, and more.
“So the procedure is just beginning, whether it’s to know what service we have or to start doing on-site assessments with Americans and opening them up to our services,” Garrison said.
The van will be in Cushing, Oklahoma on Monday starting at nine a. m. m. and will be there until 6 p. m. m.
