BOSTON – Evans Notch’s former administrative site in Bethel was recently shipped through the Forest Service (USFS) after a successful marketing and sales effort led through the General Service Administration. The old USFS assets were sold at the maximum logical bidder for $245,005.
Vacant since 2016, the former 9.93-acre USFS Evans Notch administrative site is located at 18 Mayville Road in Bethel. It consists of 2 adjacent plots of land and was advanced with seven designs, adding a 1,800 square foot ranch flavor design and a 7,700-square-foot seven-bay garage. It is 3 km from Bethel Regional Airport and 11 km from Sunday River Ski Resort.
The USFS MISSION is the health, diversity and productivity of the country’s forests and grasslands to meet the purposes of providing and generating long-term generations. Proceeds from the sale can be retained through USFS and can be used for the acquisition, improvement, maintenance, retransmission, or design of a national forestry facility or improvement.
The assets were submitted through an online auction as a component of the GSA Mass to generate charges and savings on genuine goods, acquisition, generation and other government-wide allocation centers.
The New England region of the GSA materializes centralized purchases for the executive through the management of its portfolio of genuine goods, products and centers of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
