Health Matters: University of Alabama Student Health Center

The University of Alabama Student Health Center offers a wide diversity of physical activities for students on campus, said Central Director Dr. Karen Burgess.

“One vital thing is that the Student Health Center is only for academics,” Burgess said. “It offers typical number one care services, but it also offers fitness and gynecology services for women. It also provides dermatology, intellectual conditioning, and psychiatry services. as well as nutritional counseling.

For students with prescriptions, there is an on-site pharmacy, Burgess said, available to fill prescriptions at the center or anywhere else in the country.
