The U.S. housing market has been hit hard by extreme weather – from the wildfires in Southern California to the freezing cold and snow in the Northeast, Midwest and South – at the start of the new year, in addition to the rising cost of homes.

These points decreased the visits to the house and a drop in Pfinishing sales in the 4 weeks ending on January 12, according to the Genuina Redfin Assets runner.

However, Redfin said it was still “too early in the new year for how the 2025 housing market will form. “

They were the maximum houses sold in 2024, according to Redfin

In turn, Redfin said he made the request for acquisition and rental of those who were moved. In particular, sales that waited for Los Angeles fell 4% of one year to the next and the new ads fell 2. 5% during the 4 weeks era that ended on January 12. Redfin is not that this fall would have been so wonderful if the forest shoots had not begun.

Redfin plans to see greater decreases in the coming weeks.

“Many Redfin agents pivotate to help other people locate rents as soon as possible,” said Susan Brown, a Redfin agent based in Los Angeles. “Because rentals go so fast, my recommendation for other people for accommodation is to touch a genuine real estate agent directly to get help. “
