Hundreds of U. S. government agencies were offline on Monday, an AFP review showed, adding one of USAID’s humanitarian firm that President Donald Trump’s management is shutting down.
According to a list of only 1,400 federal sites provided through the cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency (CISA), more than 350 were not available from Monday afternoon.
These including sites related to the departments of Defense, Commerce, Energy, Transport, Hard Work such as the Central Intelligence Agency and the Supreme Court, the review said.
It is not clear precisely when the sites have not been available. Nor is it clear if the sites were temporarily offline or if they get rid of the Trump administration.
But the progression comes amid discussion from the administration to drastically the U. S. government.
Elon Musk, the executive leader of Tesla and SpaceX and the world’s richest user, is leading Trump’s federal cost-cutting efforts at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Musk said Monday that USAID would be shut down, calling the firm that manages rescue systems in all countries a “criminal organization. “
USAID has been offline as workers were asked not to come into their offices on Monday.
A multitude of U. S. government websites, adding public fitness agencies, also revoked references to LGBTQ after a Trump directive asked them to end all taxpayer-funded systems advertising “sexual ideology,” U. S. media reported.
Trump already has executive orders banning diversity, equity and inclusion in government.
Key facts and knowledge sets similar to HIV and other LGBTQ young people have also disappeared from the website of the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), alarming fitness experts.
On Monday, TouchDown pages of the CDCs for any of the issues said: “The page you are looking for not found. “
“The elimination of HIV and LGBTQ resources of the centers for the control and prevention of diseases and other physical conditioning agencies is deeply concerned and creates a harmful hole in data and clinical knowledge to monitor and respond to disease epidemics,” said the infectious corporate society in a press release.
Public access to these data was “particularly vital because diseases such as HIV, MPOX, sexually transmitted infections and other diseases threaten public aptitude and have an effect on the total population,” he added.
