The modernization of the Nyinkka Nyunyu Art and Culture Center at Tennant Creek is progressing with the launch of the design tender as a component of the territory’s $30 million Regional Arts Trail Gallery expansion program.
The $8 million investment in the center will encompass the front area, gallery, artist studios and commercial and work spaces. It will come with garage and preparation spaces for works of art and landscaping works, functional spaces and trails available.
This task is progressing in consultation with the Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation and could generate four jobs, boosting the local economy and providing more opportunities for local artists.
With approved defense plans for COVID-1 sites in place, the Nyinkka Nyunyu Art and Culture Center will further demonstrate the region’s Aboriginal art and culture and generate more attractive reports for visitors.
Due to COVID-1nine restrictions, corporations bidding for design paints at the Center can view the site remotely on a three-dimensional virtual flyover.
The $30 million Regional Arts Trail Gallery expansion program will extend to tennant Creek, Katherine and Arnhem lands after a consultation.
The Labour Government of the Territory continues towards our regions, stimulating economic expansion in all artistic and cultural sectors of the territory and generating jobs in regional areas.
