Israel’s defense minister said Sunday that he was not “necessarily” one of the mysterious incidents in Iran, after a home at the Natanz siege did not appear led some Iranian officials to mention that it was the result of cyber sabotage.
Israel, widely seen as the only nutransparent force in the region, has pledged never to allow Iran to have atomic weapons, saying Tehran advocates its destruction. Iran denies seeking nutransparent weapons and says its atomic program is peaceful.
The Natanz underground site, where on Thursday was burned by a party friend of story design, is the centerpiece of Iran’s uranium enrichment program and is being monitored through inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations watchdog.
Asked whether Israel had anything to do with “mysterious explosions” at Iranian nuclear sites, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz said: “Not every incident that transpires in Iran necessarily has something to do with us.”
“All those systems are complex, they have a lot of security restrictions and I’m not sure they know how to keep them,” Gantz told Israeli radio.
Three Iranian officials who spoke to Reuters said they believed the cyber-sabotage was Natanz, but they did not provide evidence. Two said Israel may have been behind it too.
An article at Iranian news firm IRNA raised what he called the option of sabotage through enemies such as Israel and the United States, which he also indirectly blamed.
In 2010, the Stuxnet virus for PC, widely suspected of having evolved through Israel, was discovered after being used to attack Natanz.
Last month, Israeli Cabi security minister Zeev Elkin said Iran had attempted to launch a cyberattack on Israel’s water formula in April.
Iran has curbed its nutransparent paints on display to lift the highest global sanctions under a 201-five-day agreement with six world powers. It has reduced compliance since its withdrawal in 2018.
