One thing I’ve seen in Ireland is that, after all, it’s wonderful outdoors, other Americans cause their best friends to play with rugvia balls and throwing sticks. It’s really amazing to see the differentiation in sports culture, because at home, my friends will cause best friends to play with football or a frisbee. Sport has been a component of my life at home, whether I’m a fan of the Green Bay Packers football team or playing frisbee with my friends at school. When the opportunity came to see The Munster Rugvia’s home team play at Thomond Park this weekend, I knew I had to enjoy it and feel more influenced by the differences between our sports cultures. In the old Irish style, it was a horrible day and Storm George rained and entered the stadium. However, when I arrived, it cleared up and made the stadium adorable at night. Thomond Park is about five miles outside of the city of Limerick, and the enthusiasts who came out of the typhoon were amazing. I was hoping to be one of the only Americans there was, but I was sitting in a crowded line throughout the game.
The game itself was all I like about sports and sports fans. Aleven, although I have no concept miles about rugvia scores, my friends and I control maintaining and being very excited about critical games. At one point, a fight broke out between the players and being in the stands was definitely an experience. After the victory of the Munster team, I was more proud of where I was staying in Ireland and the identity that comes with life in Limerick and its acircular. I hope to come back in the future, but I have to be obliged to get to a launch game before that.
