COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Rapper Kanye West, in his first event since declaring himself a presidential candidate, ranted against historical figure Harriet Tubman on Sunday, saying the Underground Railroad conductor “never actually freed the slaves, she just had them work for other white people,” comments that drew shouts of opposition from some in the crowd.
West uttered a long monologue, addressing the ultimate logic, such as abortion and religion, the attempt of foreign industry and licensing agreements, in front of a crowd in North Charleston, South Carolina. Whether you’re acquiring the ultimate logical workplace in the rustic style is still a matter.
Tubguy top reputable figures in the 19th century America. An African-American woman who escaped slavery, helped black slave men and women travel north for freedom and fought for the Union during the Civil War. She later became a supporter of women’s suffrage.
With regard to abortion, West said that while the concept is legal, financial incentives to support suffering mothers could be a way to deter the practice.
“Every user who has a child receives dollars,” he said as an example.
Dressed in a protective vest and with “2020” shaved on his head, the host gave the event the event. Several hundred Americans piled up in a room where gospel music was played before West’s appearance.
The occasion would have been booked for registered guests, a cross-check website does not imply a large Apple registration or RSVP information.
Speaking without a microphone, West began crying at a time when he spoke of his mother, who died of plastic surgery in 2007.
West did not meet the deadline to qualify for elections in several states, and is not transparent if he is willing or able to gather enough signatures to qualify for others. Last week, he qualified to appear in the presidential poll in Oklahoma, the first state where he met the essentials before the filing deadline.
West expected to collect 10,000 signatures by noon Monday to appear on the South Carolina ballot, according to state law. The artist tweeted a lot of tickets in the Charleston deception where petitions could be signed. Emails to a dress adget supposedly applicable with the crusade were not returned on Sunday after noon.
West, who is married to real TV star Kim Kardashian West, first announced his candidacy on July 4.
