Gifford told the outlet that the day before his fall, he “moved 300 pounds on his own” at an e-book signing in Nashville, Tennessee. “I weakened my body,” he explained.

“It’s my fault,” Gifford continued.
The next day, one of Gifford’s friends visited him at the time of the fall.
“It’s my fault. “
“It didn’t take much, because he was weak there,” Gifford told the outlet. “And the next thing you know, I’m back in the hospital with a damaged pelvis: front and back. It’s more painful than anything I’ve ever been through with my hip. The pelvis is incredibly painful. But anyway , here I am.
Gifford described the experience as “humiliating” and thankfully stayed in the hospital for a week because she had “no confidence” in herself.

“You think you know your structure and the next thing you know, your structure adjusts as you age,” he said. “And as much as I don’t think about it, it’s true. “
Gifford continued, “It’s summer for everyone, except me. But it’s ok. I’m going to go to my little farm one of those days and put my feet in my salt pool. The Lord tells me it’s time to slow down. “. I’ve been running my whole life. The Lord says to me, ‘You have planted billions of roses. ‘”
Earlier this month, Gifford told the outlet that recovering from his hip replacement had been “one of the most painful situations” of his entire life.

And he added: “It has been difficult. “
After his procedure, Gifford “jumped off the gurney after my surgery,” but temporarily realized that his structure, unlike his brain, wasn’t ready for a slower pace change.

“I walked, I walked, I walked, and my doctor said, ‘Kathie, no. You have to know this is serious,'” she said.

Gifford boasted that he “stopped my walker in two days” and then all his meds in 3 days, but “then I overdid it. I just did too much because that’s who I am. ”
“I brought books, signed and got ready, and my grandchildren came to visit,” she said.

“And you can’t. I learned from this that you can’t do much. You’re just a human being. You’re just a human being. And I’m so grateful. “

Her procedure was mandatory because Gifford noticed that “her hips were in knots,” which doctors told her because of her incredibly active lifestyle.
“You’ve climbed mountains, made movies, gone on stage. You never took off your high heels, and you kept going and that’s why you live what you’re going through,” they recall.

Despite this, Gifford doesn’t know why he needed surgery or the complicated healing process.

“[I wonder] would I replace this? No, I’m doing what God had put me to do on this Earth. Every year I did what He called me to do,” he said.

In the early 1980s, he began working as a correspondent for “Good Morning America” and in 1985 he teamed up with Regis Philbin to host “The Morning Show” on a local New York station.
