Waterekke Energy won the construction of a 1. 5 GW offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, with Luxcara as the project’s asset manager.
The site, N-9. 3, is located in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of the German North Sea, about 85 kilometers northwest of the island of Helgoland. The geotechnical and environmental studies have already been completed, which, according to the company, could be attached to the commission. to the national transport network until 2029.
“Luxcara’s repeated successes in quality-based tenders underline our ability to design complex projects,” says Holger Matthiesen, project manager at Luxcara.
“This demonstrates our comprehensive strategy which, on the one hand, values the entire supply chain of the structure and, on the other hand, considers the next use of electricity, for example to produce from green hydrogen. We hope to once again help drive the transition of power in Germany.
Last August, Luxcara announced its successful participation in the German offshore wind auction, when bidder Waterkant Energy won the right to build an offshore wind farm on the N-6. 7 site, also in the German EEZ.
Both projects will be part of a portfolio that Luxcara manages on behalf of institutional investors.
