Marcus Rashford’s crusade to feed the hungry teenagers has led to England through the storm. And about 1.3 million teenagers in rural areas may be able to claim loose food stamps in the summer due to the urgent call from the Manchester United star.
The UK government had long since said that it will not get loose school vouchers for the summer holidays. But Rashford wrote a letter to government officials asking them to reconsider. The letter went viral on social media and the executive reversed anger after feeling public pressure. The government then announced a six-week coupon for eligible children.
Rashford went to Twitter after the announcement of how he felt:
“I don’t even know what to say, ” wrote Rashford. “Just look at what we’re able to do when we meet. It’s England in 2020.”
The allocation will charge 120 million pounds, the BBC. Keir Starmer of Labor, the leader of the opposition party in the UK, congratulated Rashford after the change, ESPN.
“This is another welcome move from Boris Johnson,” he said. “The concept that 1.3 million teenagers were hungry this summer was unimaginable. Congratulations to Marcus Rashford, etc., who have spoken so strongly on this issue.”
Talk about your plats shape forever. As detailed through the Guardian, in regions where investment in food was rejected, the most virtuous friend of 500,000 teenagers last year was in danger of starving to death when they were out of school, while 4.1 million teenagers in the country live in poverty.
