Hundreds of the country’s most prominent athletes will travel to Paris as part of the United States team for the 2024 Olympics.
More than 590 athletes will compete in dozens of events, including gymnastics, swimming, track and field, boxing, and more. The Paris Games will begin on Friday, July 26 and will last until Sunday, August 11.

One of the men’s basketball players on Team USA. The U. S. will have one distinctive honor: LeBron James, who will become the first U. S. men’s basketball player to carry the American flag at the opening ceremony.
One of Team USA Tennis’ competitions will be one of two U. S. athletes to carry the flag at the opening ceremony: Coco Gauff, the first U. S. tennis player to earn the honor.
