MLB Commercial Rumors: Billy Hamilton of the Giants Mets Land for Jordan Humphreys

The New York Mets acquired outfielder Billy Hamilton in an industry with the San Francisco Giants, according to MLB.com Anthony DiComo.

New York will drop pitcher Jordan Humphreys, who booked for the assignment last week. The right considered it to be number 14 on the team, according to MLB.com.

Hamilton had not made the impression in a game this season with the Giants and on the team’s chosen spot.

The 29-year-old joined San Francisco on a minor league contract this low season after hitting solo.218 in 119 games last year between the Kansas City Royals and the Atlanta Braves. He hit Array245 in six years with the Cincinnati Reds, totaling 21 home runs, while his PAHO never beat Array664 in one season.

Despite his lack on the plateau, Hamilton values his speed and defense.

The outfielder has made more than 50 interceptions in a season 4 other times, losing 22 catches last year despite abnormal playing time. According to Fangraphs, he also has 73 defensive problems in his midfield career, adding 8 last season.

That may be just one Mets team that has few herbal intermediates, especially Jake Marisnick on the disabled list, and also lacks speed (no one has more than one stolen base this season).

Giants manager Gabe Kapler also previously noted the price Hamilton could have on extra tickets with a player starting at the base of the moment.

“It’s a very good move for this moment,” Kapler said, via NBC Sports’ Alex Pavlovic. “One of the things [giants general manager Scott Harris] talked about was how great it would be to see Billy Hamilton run to base for the time being and pay to borrow third base with a stolen base rate of more than 85%. and Scott told me about it.”

San Francisco is receiving a player with many benefits, but has been limited by injuries with only two minor league innings since 2017. Tommy John’s surgery took away Humphrey’s entire crusade in 2018 while he was slow to return in 2019.

The 24-year-old showed what he could do at the Arizona Fall League this past offseason, posting a 0.77 ERA in 11.2 innings.

If you can stay healthy, the Giants may end up having a flight in perspective.

Philly is expected to face the Yankees on Monday after reporting that there are no positive new COVID-19s for the third day in a row.
