One of the expected maximum Arab tragedies of next year could be under threat.
The Emperor, a network that traces the life of well-known Egyptian actor Ahmed Zaki, was due to his production later this year, before its release in Ramadan next year.
However, lead actor Mohamed Ramadan, who would play the star, said the series were worn out due to a collapse in conversations with Zaki’s heirs.
Without ever wasting time, Ramadan temporarily announced his next television project, a 2021 Ramadan series called Mousa.
The news, announced through Ramadan on his Facebo page on Tuesday, July 21, blinded Bashir El Deek, the emperor’s screenwriter.
Speaking to the online entertainment site and Bil Arabi, El Deek said he had finished writing the moment an episode of the 30-episode series when he learned that Ramadan had moved directly to another project.
“There’s no point in commenting on things until we see how it goes,” he said. “Further, if the parties [the heirs of Zaki and Ramadan] have related legal aspects that are stubborn, then this preference is to be stubborn with the production company. I have nothing to do with it.”
With regard to the series, El Deek stated that the script would be Zaki’s life off-screen. The series would begin with Zaki’s enrollment at the Cairo Graduate Institute of Dramatic Studies in the early 1970s and would continue to hide some of his basic films before his death in 200 years of lung cancer at the age of five.
“I have always done extensive studies on Ahmed Zaki’s life,” El Deek said. “The demonstration will be kept at your station up and down in Egypt. We will also address some aspects of your training years when [the plot] wants to.”
For now, data about Mousa’s plot. However, judging by the pedigree of the talents involved, there is a wonderful choice that it can be a success.
For the past three years, Ramadan has starred in some of the most-watched series screened during the holy month, including this year’s thriller El Prince, 2019’s Zelzal and 2018’s El Diesel.
The Egyptian production of Apple Synergy Art Production, which is the most-watched series of this holy month, the mystery of the Al Ikhtiyar army and the splendid drama Hekayti in 2019, is the latest generation of television in Ramadaan.
Directing all 30 episodes of Mousa will be Mohamed Salama, who was behind the critically acclaimed 2018 series Raheel, starring Yasser Galal.
Penning the script is Nasser Abdulrahman, a seasoned talent who wrote previous Ramadan dramas Gabal Al Halal (2017) and the 2009 film Dokkan Shehata, starring Lebanese pop star Haifa Wehbe.
The news marks what has been a bittersweet month for Ramadan.

Ramadan was sentenced to 36 days in prison by an Egyptian court of defamation after posting a video in the cockpit of a non-public aircraft, prompting the dismissal of pilot Ashraf Abu El Yousr and the revocation of his license.
The video, which went viral, showed Ramadan pre-finishing to interpret the plane and was shown through the Civil Aviation Authority to be authentic. According to a couple of reports, Yousr did not realize that a video was being filmed and did not authorize its release.
