The phone calls came after North Korea said it had on Monday introduced a new rocket carrying a military reconnaissance satellite from a launch site on its northwest coast. The launch failed due to the rocket exploding during the flight of the first stage.
This is Pyongyang’s first attempt to liberate after the successful release of its first army spy satellite in November last year, following the last two failed attempts in May and August respectively.
