One person has been killed and four others were injured when Russian drones targeted the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, military and civilian officials said, as Russia launched barrages across the country.
The Ukrainian Air Force said its air defenses had shot down 60 of the Russian drones brought into Ukraine since the early hours of Friday.
Moscow’s forces have higher air attacks in Ukraine in recent days, adding a central Attle of ATTle New Year’s attack that killed two people.
In the last dam, a force of truck killed through drone waste, according to Mykola Kalashnyk, interim governor of the kyiv region.
He said that the rubble also broke several houses, injuring 4 people, a 16 -year -old boy.
The Ukraine Air Force said that 26 drones were “lost”, referring to use through Ukraine of the Electronic War to redirect Russian drones.
In all, Russian drones targeted nine regions across the country including Kyiv, officials said.
Residential houses and commercial buildings were also damaged in the Donetsk region in the east and the Chernihiv region in the north, the military added.
On Thursday, the Ukrainian military said it had made a precision strike on a Russian command post in Maryino, in Russia’s Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces still hold territory after a primary incursion in August.
The Russian army said that the air defense sets had demolished 4 Ukrainian missiles in the region, and the regional governor said that the attacks had broken a construction of first level apartments and other constructions in an adjacent village.
