Donald Trump and his Republican colleagues have spent the last few days attacking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, also known as Kamala Harris’ pick for vice president. These attacks include:

But what may surprise you is that not long ago, Donald Trump had incredibly complimentary things to say about the governor of Minnesota, specifically about his handling of the 2020 racial justice protests.
In a recording of a phone call received through ABC News, Trump praised Walz’s leadership before a governors’ organization, saying, “I know Governor Walz is on the phone, we’ve talked and I absolutely agree with how he dealt with the situation. “Last time, a few days,” adding, “I’m very pleased with the last few days, Tim. “He also called Walz an “excellent guy. “
