If Julian Edelman is coming back to TD Garden soon, he’ll be proud to use his traditional Jersery No. 11 Boston Celtics.
Because apparently, the Open Recipient of the New England Patriots likes rookie Payton Pritchard’s game.
It’s easy to imagine, as the young Celtics escort was inspired at the start of the season and continues to gain game time Not to mention that his small stature and serious boxing game are a bit like Edelman’s on the grid. And they have the same, number.
On Tuesday night, the Patriot shared two photos in his Instagram story, one on the other, of him and Pritchard in Boston’s 11th green T-shirt.
Pritchard is also already on a corporate call with Edelman.
“My boy, PaytonPritch3 repeating the sticks! Keep it up,” Edelman said in the post.
Pritchard has played all 8 games with Boston so this season, averaging 23. 1 minutes, 8. 6 points, 3. 1 assists, 2. 0 rebounds and 1. 4 steals consistent with the game, not to mention confidently shooting 54% of the field.
Don’t look now, however, Celtics rookie has published attention-worthy statistics for rookie of the year.
Real real.
