WNY’s Evergreen Health and Community Access Services is the city’s approval for a new gym at the corner of Kensington and Bailey avenues. The organizations, recently in a leased area at 3297 Bailey Avenue, operate with Uniland Development on 3 floors and 36,000 square feet. .

In January 2023, Evergreen Health purchased 4 parcels of vacant land at the intersection of Bailey and Kensington Avenues, just 800 yards from the existing location that Evergreen and CAS outcompeted. To accommodate the expansion and integration of critical infrastructure, Evergreen will build a new facility. to be extended to the network with occupancy scheduled for spring 2026.
While meeting existing needs is a foundation, the company is also looking into its presence and integrating the full scope of its holistic continuity of care into the new facility, necessarily replicating its flagship Evergreen center located on the west side of Buffalo for the east side community. The new construction will continue to house Evergreen Health and Community Access Services and will come with the following expansions and improvements:
⋅ Ongoing and expanded CAS facilities provided through a team of 21 employees, adding HIV prevention, testing, and education for women and men from communities of color; mobilizing the network to raise awareness about advances in HIV prevention and treatment, a food pantry, employment readiness facilities, and for the reintegration of Americans into the criminal justice system.
⋅ Expanded number one and specialized care to include HIV and hepatitis C care and gynecological care with 6 to 8 exam rooms, 2 consultation rooms, 3. 5 medical providers, and nine employees. It’s worth noting that the next closest medical provider to the proposed location is a 1. 4-mile or 30-minute walk away.
⋅ Pharmacy to serve Evergreen’s patients and the community at large. The 14215 zip code is currently underserved through national pharmacy chains, and given the existing trend of pharmacy closures across the country, it is possible that in the long run you will be left without a pharmacy without Evergreen’s plan to come with a pharmacy in its new progression at Kensington and Bailey Avenues. Please note that Evergreen has two pharmacies operating elsewhere in the City of Buffalo, but is currently unable to supply on-site pharmacy at our 3297 Bailey Avenue location due to area limitations.
⋅ Space to identify on-site care coordination. ArrayCare Coordinators conduct social work and work with patients to coordinate the fitness they gain at Evergreen Health, adding assistance with scheduling and scheduling appointments for primary and specialty care, counseling, and connecting to housing. nutrition and transportation provided through Evergreen and our partner organizations.
⋅ An on-site patient financial counseling center, small and giant multi-purpose meeting rooms with rental or free kitchens for network teams and bouldering clubs; offices for network partners such as SIPA, Buffalo Urban League, Neighborhood Legal Services, Say Yes Buffalo, and Senior Services.
