Occasional music and entertainment specialist BeSixth has put up plans to bring a new primary entertainment venue to Circle Square, Manchester.
Canvas Manchester will offer live music, occasions and entertainment in downtown Circle Square, as well as 3 different spaces: Canvas Kitchen, Canvas Club and Canvas Events.
The Canvas Kitchen will be a 100-seat dining spot on the floor, while the Canvas Club Lounge has been described as an “affordable” edition of the personal members club.
Canvas occasions will be held in the live music space and occasions for 400 people, which will be held in fitness and wellness sessions, social activism, networks and workshops.
The assignment is carried out through a site that has jointly introduced or operated sites such as Hammersmith Apollo, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Brixton Academy, G-A-Y Manchester and Ritz Manchester.
Dean James, president of BeSixth, said: “With Canvas Manchester, we need to introduce a whole new lifestyle concept that will unite other people in combination and offer something new and exciting to those who live and paint in the city.
“I think the other people in Manchester perceive that we’re going to go through this pandemic, we’re going to get back on our feet and the city is going to stand up again.”
“With its inhabitants, a rich and varied cultural scene, Manchester would be the first city we said yes to when we made the decision to invest outdoors in London, however, we didn’t think we would locate something like Circle Square site.”
The site, which is the subject of a building permit, will have an 8,800-foot roof on the floor of the floor and basements of No. 1 Circle Square and is scheduled to open in 2021.
