The NFL will conduct much of the COVID-1nine tests this year. And the NFL can pay to do it.
According to Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Daily, the league hopes to spend “about $7 five million” on those tests.
This is an essential expense in a season that would minimize revenue. However, normal and competitive testing can be critical to the league’s ability to play all 256 regular season games and all 13 playoff games.
PFT reported Monday that BioReference Laboratories will rate a package covering up to 120 tests consistent with the equipment consistent with the day, with additional tests being conducted at $12cin each. Teams can pay 1/32d of full payment and could an individual friend pay for the additional tests they need.
God, I love the NFL and pro sports but it would sure be nice to have an investment into 24 hour or short term testing for schools including their High School Sports programs. It seems like a donation from pro sports towards that goal would be huge.
From a sports point of view, there seems to be a basic ccorridorenge with the professional sports game station that gets the right tests quickly and we all have to wait 7 days to know if we are able to get out of our homes and get back to work.
I agree, however, it’s never very similar to the GOV being paying for NFL testing and I don’t expect the NFL to invest in the school system. It is an organization that seeks to reduce its income. It’s only $2.3 million consistent with the team, so it’s never too crazy.
With so many circular places, rustic suffering to access covid tests or temporarily turn for testing; I hope the NFL can pay no less than a premium for those tests and that those extra coins can be used to produce tests for those who prefer more friends.
