Riley Gaines Celebrates Repeal of COVID Vaccine Mandate for Legal Immigrants

U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said early Wednesday that they will no longer require the COVID-19 vaccine from legal immigrants and will no longer deny citizenship to legal immigrants who do not provide documentation showing they have won COVID-19. vaccine.  

On Oct. 14, 2021, the Biden administration made it mandatory that all applicants for citizenship receive the COVID-19 vaccination shots as a condition for citizenship. 

In November, Gaines said her husband, who left England for the United States six years ago, had been unable to obtain a green card because he did not need to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

“My husband left England to go to school 6 years ago,” Gaines said in X. “We got married more than two and a half years ago. He does NOT have a green card yet because he would not possibly get vaccinated. They don’t have any. I’m not forcing illegal immigrants to get vaccinated.
