Roc Nation launches music, sports and entertainment with Long Island University

Once back this year, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation team invested cash in the fight against discrimination and social injustice. Recently, they showed their protest at a Charleston protester who was arrested and demanded that his fees be lowered. They also teamed up with Yo Gotti this year to sue Mississippi for its inhumane detention situations. Roc Nation has now refocused its attention on young people through a new partnership with Long Island University, where they introduced Roc Nation’s School of Music, Sports and Entertainment.

Based in Jay-Z’s hometown of Brooklyn, the association will give college students the opportunity to paint in the music, sports and entertainment industries, awarding degrees in music, music technology, entrepreneurship and production, and sports management. In addition to education through university professors, academics will be able to meet guest artists and guest speakers, enjoy their respective fields through internships and professional contacts. Students can start registering for the fall 2021 semester to begin next month. Other opportunities at the school come with a Roc Nation Hope Scholarship, which will award 25% of first-grade elegance and guarantee them a debt-free exit from the school, as well as individualization and mentoring.

“Doing higher education is an investment in the future. This partnership, considered with LIU’s president, Dr. Cline, is a genuine investment in our network and youth in Brooklyn, New York and beyond,” Roc Nation CEO Desiree Pérez said in a website published. “We are extremely pleased that Roc Nation’s School of Music, Sports and Entertainment is offering exclusive information, wisdom and reporting to academics and presenting the next generation of talent from around the world.”
