In recent months, Russia has intensified its offensive operations on several fronts in Ukraine. From those operations, a series of small-scale battles along the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast can have very significant consequences. and the Kruhlyk Islands, which are located at the mouth of the river, where it flows into the Black Sea. This operation is strategically important, as securing those islands would allow Russia to access the Dnipro River, a key geographical feature in Ukraine.
