Early in the pandemic lockdown, Shoreline Arts Alliance recognized the statewide need for science-based knowledge and information for arts venues, organizations, artists and those creating regulatory protocols within the state of Connecticut.
Shoreline Arts Alliance has partnered with the Yale School of Public Health to directly explore and obtain clinical information to motivate artist and consumer confidence, and the economic corporation and long-term sustainability.
Eric Dillner, Executive Director of Shoreline Arts Alliance, is the founder and chairman of the Reopen CT’s Arts Venues Working Group, which created a chain of webinars and presentations, “Reopening Connecticut Arts Venues: Safety, Readiness, Consumer Confidence, Clarity Based on Science for Constituents”, which attracted more than 4,000 participants and generated many questions that panelists will have to answer , according to a press release.
“Artistic netpaintings have a real hunger and a strong preference to open their doors, searching through the prism of science. While this program designed for Connecticut artists and art venues, participants come from our neighboring New England states and as far away as North Carolina,” the organizers said in a statement.

Recent visits have included the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, Real Art Ways and Mark Twain House in Hartford and Connecticut College Arboretum and the boardwalk and scenes in New London.
These video presentations can be shared to help others expand reopening plans and motivate Jstomer’s confidence by attracting audiences to museums, theaters and theaters, art spaces, and studios.
