Leon County has added another coronavirus test site: the Home Depot at 1490 Capital Circle Northwest opened an operation without an appointment last Thursday.
The indescribable site, consisting of a white tent next to a recording table under a smaller white tent, is located in the northwest corner of the vehicle park.
Warning only: visual from the front to Capital Circle NW. On Tuesday, there were no symptoms in Capital Circle, in the parking lot or on the road that is crossing, NW Passage, which directs patients to the entrance site.
But loose nasal swab tests should be performed for anyone over the age of 18 without a doctor’s recommendation or mandatory symptoms. The site is open from nine a.m. to five p.m. seven days a week.
Up to 400 tests are also administered according to the day and sent to Mako Medical Laboratory. The site became conceivable through a meeting between the Florida Division of Emergency Management (DEM), Home Depot, Publix and Quest Diagnostics.
Several verification sites have been opened throughout the state through the partnership, served by DEM employees. The site will remain open in the future, depending on the division.
“Ensuring that available and reliable COVID-1nine checks are a top logical priority for the state,” said Samantha Bequer, DEM’s press manager. “State-backed verification sites will continue to operate deceptively for as long as necessary. There are no plans to approach the Home Depot-Leon County verification site at this time.”
