Change is a primary replacement for the platform. Temu, and other Chinese electronic commerce sites such as Shein and Aliexpress, in the past they had used exemption minimis, as we know, to flood the United States of products at ultra basic costs. And while the president of the United States, Donald Trump, says he needs his new costs to assist production to the United States, Temu resolution shows how giant corporations can escape this call and see other tactics.
The de minimis failure allowed the goods of goods valued at $800 or less to enter the United States as a duty franchise, hop inspections, and long documents. Chinese e-commerce sites have certainly taken maximum credit for the exemption, flooding the U. S. market with ultra-lobe products. But with Trump slapping punishment costs on all Chinese imports, the millions of Americans who have become dependent on those sites may locate those less affordable assets.
The vast majority of Shein and Temu products are made in China and imported into the United States, which is why the costs are so cheap.
TEMU’s new corporate jargon would possibly seem like it’s in Trump alley, but just because a product is shipped to consumers from a “local warehouse” doesn’t mean it’s made in the United States.
Sites like Temu and Shein have been building their portfolio of U. S. warehouses. U. S. For years to decrease shipping times. Last year, the Biden administration also began criticizing the de minimis exemption, with Chinese shippers feeling a transparent replacement in the mood.

Bloomberg reported in February that Temu had to review its Chinese supply chain, asking supplier factories to ship parts in bulk to U. S. warehouses. For now, this means that foreign-made products are coming to Americans’ doorsteps through American distributors. Temu publicly lists its production partners.
Tang said Friday that if there was scarcity, Temu has few options. The company can reorganize its products, which would charge time and money. He can start offering “substitutes” or recommendations for similar products in stock. Or, you can accumulate prices.
Temu has already increased costs last week.
Temu says in theirs that there are no import prices or additional prices on the delivery of parts purchased from local warehouses. On social media, users say the pieces are already sold out.
One Reddit user noted that on Friday, about 60 of the items in his basket were unavailable.
Some Temu parts are not available locally, another user noted, writing that his virtual cart of more than three hundred pieces has been reduced to two. At the most sensible of that, the user said that additional fees were implemented unless a “local order” totals at least $30.
