From Monday, July 20, the COVID-1 control site nine years ago located at Somerville Hospital moved to 133 Middlesex Avenue (near the former Kmart site) in Assembly Square. The verification site is a component of a broader COVID-1 mitigation strategy across the City of Somerville in component together with the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). Patients can arrive at the site by vehicle, on foot or by bicycle, and verification procedures may be similar to those in the previous location:
Patients will receive a phone call with their results, which can take up to five days to arrive.
There may also be a cell control unit that accepts patients in cellular locations in Somerville.
