On Thursday, Heather’s surgery was scheduled at South Jordan Health Center with Dr. Robert M. Teixeira, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in the hand and upper extremities.
“Fortunately, he had a common wrist fracture,” Teixeira said. “During surgery, I was able to align his bones much better and place a plate and screws in his radius to hold all the bones in position. Heather, a perfect patient She did everything the hand therapists asked of her and got a wonderful result.
Heather then underwent physical treatment at South Jordan Health Center. “My physical therapist has been great, helping me regain mobility in my hand after a wrist dislocation,” she said.
Today, Heather has returned to her state, with only a little stiffness due to dislocation.
